I’m so glad you asked. Most importantly, although I’ve been creating my own art for over 25 years (actually since I was old enough to hold a crayon), I’m a teacher at heart. Encouraging and empowering others to enjoy and be confident with the creative process has been the focus in my art studio since its inception in 2003. Both adults and kids claim it’s the best art instruction and most fun they’ve ever had playing in the paint!

I understand the importance, and know how to, deliver clear and well-paced instruction to apply vibrant color, utilize fun (and even surprising) techniques and tools to create texture, and add compositional balance and interest. Most importantly, my inviting and calm demeanor (I’ve proudly been called the “female Bob Ross) provide you the necessary encouragement and permission to create paintings that are inspired and unique to YOU – no cookie-cutter art here (although I do love cookies!).
